FAQ OfF

Actually nevermind, I have no questions and want to go back to the homepage >>>

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHERE TO CUT?

Along with a pre-paid shipping label and shipping bag, I’ll mail you a customization sheet for your old jeans. You’ll fill out your preferred length and whether the fray is facing down or cuffed up. Once you’re done, shove everything into the shipping bag. EASY.

Please note that I’m not cutting any special contoured lines or making any special seams - this is just a straight cut at your indicated length and the open fray will either face down or be folded up. Give it a wash and everything will look awesome.

WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE LEFTOVER LEGS?

They’re not going to the landfill. As of this moment, I won’t be operating at a scale that really lets me get creative, but denim can be recycled into a whole bunch of interesting things, including home insulation, mattress pads, and plenty of other ‘crafty’ stuff. If you have an idea for what I should do with the leftovers (heck, let’s turn it into a second business), please feel free to reach out to me at joe@joerts.com

HOW DOES SHIPPING WORK?

There are a couple steps and the whole process will take a couple weeks (this is a side hustle, my dude). All shipping costs are baked into the price.

STEP ONE: I’ll send you everything you need to actually mail me your old jeans. This includes a pre-paid shipping bag/label and a customization sheet.
STEP TWO: You’ll fill that out and send me your jeans.
STEP THREE: I cut, sew, and ship back your new JOERTS

We only ship to the US right now. All shipping materials are recyclable and the shipping bag can be used twice, so we’re keeping the environmental impact lower.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE PATCH.

The patch is a high-quality, embroidered patch with a flexible felt backing, for a really comfortable fit. This first run is limited to just 500 of the black/white combo. In the future, I’ll be releasing all sorts of limited edition color combos, material types, and other fun stuff.

We’ll include a hand-signed / numbered certificate of authenticity with your new JOERTS.

WHAT TYPE OF JEANS DO YOU TAKE?

Anything from your closet that has legs. Jeans, khakis, men’s, women’s… it’s all treated the same. Just do us a favor and make sure they’re clean before you send them in, you animal.
